How to Plan a Tulum Bachelorette: Itinerary & Checklist

This is the order we plan a Tulum bachelorette in: dates first, then the villa, then the days, then the nights. Follow it and the trip books itself. If you would rather hand the whole thing over, see what a bachelorette party in Tulum looks like with us — planning is free, and the partners we book pay our commission.
When should you start planning a Tulum bachelorette?
Three to six months ahead for a group of 6–14. That is when the villas with space for everyone are still free, and when the beach clubs and restaurants still have tables on the nights you want. Inside six weeks it is still doable, but the shortlist gets shorter, and high season (December to March) books out first.
Weekends carry the most atmosphere, which is why the classic format is Thursday to Sunday: a long weekend without burning a week of holiday. Rainy season is not a write-off either. The pool, the villa dinner, the spa day and the cenotes all work in the rain, and the town is quieter.
Do you need a concierge for a bachelorette in Tulum?
No, but it changes what the trip costs you in time. Planning a group trip to a place you have never been means forty tabs open, deposits to strangers and a group chat full of questions. We do that part: the villa shortlist, the itinerary, the reservations, the drivers, and someone on WhatsApp while you are here.
At Bon Vivant Tulum, planning is free for you. The villas, restaurants, beach clubs and boats we book pay us a commission, which is how the service works without a fee on your side. You see the price of every booking before you confirm it.
Villa or hotel for a bachelorette group?
A private villa, in almost every case. Split between 6–14 people it is usually cheaper per head than hotel rooms, and it gives you the thing a hotel cannot: your own pool, your own music, space for decorations, and a kitchen a private chef can cook in. No one is asking you to keep it down at 11 pm.
Boutique hotels work for a smaller group that wants service over space. If the bride wants a surprise setup on arrival — balloons, flowers, chilled bubbly — a villa is where that lands best. We visit the villas we offer in person, so what you see is what you walk into.
What do bachelorette groups actually do in Tulum?
Days are beach club, water and wellness; nights are dinner and a table somewhere. Most groups mix three or four of these over a long weekend, rather than trying to do everything:
- Beach club day: Bagatelle, Vagalume, Taboo or Papaya Playa Project — day beds, lunch at the table, music into sunset.
- Boat or catamaran day: turquoise water, open bar, a DJ if you want one.
- Private chef dinner at the villa: a themed dinner, a Mexican night, or a lighter menu after a long day.
- Spa day and sound healing: massages at the villa or a jungle spa, usually the morning after the big night.
- Cenotes and ruins: early, before the tour buses, with a driver who waits.
- A night out: Rosa Negra, Taboo or Confessions with a table, bottle service and a ride both ways.
- Mezcal tasting or a photoshoot: two small things that make the weekend feel planned rather than improvised.
What does a four-day bachelorette itinerary look like?
Thursday arrival and a villa dinner, Friday beach club and a night out, Saturday boat day and the big dinner, Sunday recovery and departure. That shape works because it puts the heavy night in the middle, when everyone has arrived and no one is flying yet.
Keep one slot per day free. Groups that plan four activities a day end up cancelling two of them and arguing about the rest.
What should you book first?
The villa, then the nights with a table, then the boat. Those three run out first, especially around New Year, the festival weeks and spring break. Everything else — chef, spa, photographer, transport — can follow once the frame is set.
Tell us the dates, the group size and the bride’s idea of a good night, and we will tell you what is still open. See bachelorette packages and what we arrange, or message us on WhatsApp and we will start the shortlist today.
